Who we are
Sidebar Finance is a financial coaching practice run by Aman Raheja in Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains how we handle your personal information. Questions go to aman@sidebarfinance.ca.
What we collect
Contact details: your name and email, when you book a call or join the email list.
Booking details: what you tell us in the booking form, such as your questions and which institutions hold your money.
Financial information you choose to share in sessions, such as statements, account details, goals, and income.
Payment details, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Basic website usage data, such as pages visited, collected by our website platform.
How we use it
To schedule and deliver your sessions and written deliverables.
To build projections and scenarios for you.
To send emails you’ve agreed to receive.
To keep business and tax records.
We never sell your information.
AI tools and service providers
We use AI tools to build projections, scenarios, and written plans. Information you share may be processed by these tools to deliver your service. We use settings that stop providers from training their models on your data wherever available, and we remove your name and account numbers where we can.
Other providers we rely on: Framer (website), Cal.com (booking), Stripe (payments), Framer (email signup and notifications), AI tools from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law.
Your consent
By booking, you consent to this use of your information. You can withdraw consent at any time; we’ll explain what that means for any service in progress.
How long we keep it
Session notes and documents: while you’re a client and up to two years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Payment and business records: six years, as tax law requires.
Security
Access is limited to Aman. Accounts use strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing aman@sidebarfinance.ca. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Emails
We only email you with your consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Changes
We’ll post any updates here with a new effective date.
